About the Role

The physician is a member of the healthcare team who works in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice is defined through the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee. The Physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level and all medical activities, including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs. The role is to provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Doctorate from an accredited medical school.
• One year of medical/surgical experience.
• Licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

Pay

The compensation offered for this position is determined based on qualifications, relevant training and experience, skill level, shift differentials (where applicable), internal equity, and current market conditions. The compensation range is a good-faith estimate for a 1.0 FTE status and may be adjusted based on business needs or market changes. Bonuses, incentives, or other benefits are subject to the terms of applicable plans and may be modified at VHC Health’s discretion.
