Physician Practice Business Manager

The Physician Practice Business Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of business operations within the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation (BBAHC) provider services lines (emergency department, outpatient, inpatient, CHAP village clinics).

Responsibilities

• Oversight of financial activities
• Administration of administrative functions
• Facility enrollments management
• Human resource liaison
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including CMS, The Joint Commission, HRSA, Medicaid/Medicare, Credentialing/Enrollment, and the Community Health Aide Program
• Knowledge of human resources provider contracting, contract negotiations, and monitoring
• Collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Windows computer applications: Word, Excel and Access
• Experience in the duties, responsibilities, and vital role of the CHAP in the rural Alaska context

Requirements

• Five (5) years' management experience with rural health clinics and/or critical access hospitals
• A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or similar, master's degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred
• For internal candidates, evidence of effective management of BBAHC programs and/or services
