Physician -Per Diem OB Hospitalist

About the role

Diagnose, manage and treat obstetrical and gynecologic patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting. Provide input in the development of standard of care guidelines for the Ob/Gyn service line.

Requirements

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine
• Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology
• Current BLS and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses (e.g., Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, American Red Cross). The ILCOR course must include a manikin check-off (ALS required by specialty only)
• Minimum of 3 years of Ob/Gyn practice post residency
• Demonstrated competencies in:
  • Practice-based learning and improvement
  • Patient care and procedural skills
  • Systems-based practice
  • Appropriate medical knowledge
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professionalism

• Must possess good physical health

• Lifting at least 20 pounds
