Physician - Hospitalist - Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients admitted to the hospital under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Manage patient care plans, including ordering tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating with other healthcare providers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient encounters and treatments accurately and timely according to hospital policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program in the relevant specialty, or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: Eligible for licensure in the State of Maine. Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and privileges at designated hospital locations.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex medical cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
