Physician - Pediatrics Gastroenterology

About the role

Join a dedicated Pediatric Gastroenterology team as a full-time physician, providing expert care, teaching, and mentoring at a leading academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Providing outpatient clinics with an average of 8 patients per half day
• Performing procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, foreign body removal, esophageal dilation, and more
• Sharing unrestricted night call (1:4) with colleagues
• Participating in teaching pediatric residents, fellows, and medical students
• Engaging in research, quality improvement, community outreach, and administrative activities
• Utilizing Cerner EMR system and telemedicine to enhance patient care
• Collaborating with pediatric subspecialists, including Pediatric Surgery and Radiology, and ensuring 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree, with Arizona medical license obtained by start date
• Board‑certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and research
• Skills in procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and small bowel capsule endoscopy
