Physician - Pediatric Infectious Disease

About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a physician who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease to join the expanding practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. An interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with suspected or proven infectious diseases.
• Participation in multidisciplinary rounds and team-based care.
• Collaboration with other specialists and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Research and publication activities.
• Antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.

Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
• Experience in pediatric infectious diseases preferred.
• Interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship is desirable.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
