Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician
About the role
Geisinger is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join their team in Danville, PA. The position rotates between clinic hours of M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including outpatient, inpatient rounding, and Peds ID consults), with outpatient clinics rotating among Peds ID physicians. Call coverage includes limited O/N call coverage (5 weekday nights) and weekend coverage (1 weekend per month).
Responsibilities
- Rotate among Peds ID physicians
- Manage Epic in-basket and referrals
- Collaborate with Pediatric Specialties Nurse coordinator
- Partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for Peds ID services
- Telemedicine available
- Manage a 41-bed NICU and 14-bed PICU
- Work with pediatric psychologist, nutritional support, pharmacy support, care management support, and Peds ID social worker
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
