Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician
Responsibilities
Will provide clinical consultation on the inpatient service and in the Infectious Diseases Clinic.
Major role in the antimicrobial stewardship program.
Opportunity to develop an independent research career or focus on quality improvement.
Carry out clinical activities at Primary Children's Hospital and in the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare systems.
Expectation for academic work including investigation, education, administration/service, and advocacy.
Major role in continuing the development of a novel tele-stewardship program.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Infectious Diseases or Infectious Diseases.
- Demonstrated research, quality improvement skills, or other scholarly activity.
Qualifications
- PhD in relevant field preferred.
- Experience in antibiotic stewardship and/or hospital epidemiology.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
