Physician - Pediatric GI - Full Time Academic

About the Role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport invite applications for a BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology within the Department of Pediatrics. This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a collaborative academic team dedicated to delivering exceptional care, advancing research, and training the next generation of physicians. We are seeking a full-time physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must be eligible for a Louisiana medical license. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient general gastroenterology care, along with opportunities to teach residents and medical students and participate in meaningful research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Weekly teaching in GI outpatient clinics
• Performing endoscopic procedures in our on-site endoscopy center
• Providing inpatient consult services

• Level III + S Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – 40-bed unit
• 23-bed pediatric inpatient ward and a 14-bed pediatric intensive care unit

• Children’s Clinical Research Center featuring a dedicated 3-bed clinical trial unit and laboratory supporting 10–12 NIH- and industry-sponsored trials annually (inpatient and outpatient)
