About the role
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board eligible/board certified pediatric gastroenterologist to join its expanding pediatric multi-specialty practice in Lafayette, LA.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full spectrum of pediatric gastroenterology care, including outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for children with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
- Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows through teaching and mentoring.
- Engage in research activities, contributing to the advancement of pediatric gastroenterology knowledge and treatment protocols.
- Support the development and maintenance of high-quality clinical services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
Requirements
- Board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
- Current medical license to practice medicine in Louisiana.
- Experience in pediatric gastroenterology, preferably in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Successful completion of a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship program accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics.
