Pediatric Gastroenterologist Physician
Position Highlights
- Specialty: Pediatric Gastroenterology — outpatient and inpatient care
- Procedures: Full endoscopy suite including capsule endoscopy, pH/impedance monitoring, percutaneous G-tube placement, variceal banding, sclerotherapy, esophageal and anorectal manometry, and breath hydrogen testing
- Practice Sites: Main campus plus Children's Hospital of Michigan – Troy and Metro Detroit satellite clinics
- Team Structure: 6 board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists, 1 pediatric hepatologist, 3 NPs, 5 clinical nurses, 2 dietitians
- Teaching: Active participation in training GI Fellows, residents, and medical students through an ACGME-accredited fellowship program
- Subspecialty Collaboration: Integrated programs in IBD, Aerodigestive Disease, Intestinal Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Liver Disease & Transplant
- Subspecialty Interest: Additional training or focus in hepatology/liver transplant, advanced endoscopy, motility, or nutrition is welcomed and preferred

Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
Additional training or strong interest in Pediatric Hepatology/Liver Transplant, Advanced Endoscopy, Motility Disorders, or Nutrition preferred
Eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Completion of a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship program accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
