PHYSICIAN - Pathology (0.8-1.0 FTE) - Fargo, ND

About the role

Located in Fargo, ND (32nd Avenue Building) on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota, Essentia Health‑Fargo is seeking an AP/CP board eligible or board‑certified pathologist to join our team of 4 pathologists, which include hematopathology and dermatopathology fellowship‑trained pathologists, and 2 pathology assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services as part of a team of 4 pathologists and 2 pathology assistants.
• Participate in on‑call coverage divided equally among pathologists.
• Demonstrate strong clinical pathology skills (preferred).
• Contribute to an expanding referral practice and outreach activities.
• Serve in laboratory medical directorship roles.
• Work with dedicated supportive staff and laboratory operations team; pathology assistants perform gross dissections including frozen sections.
• No autopsy responsibilities.
• Utilize Epic and Epic Beaker for laboratory information management.

Requirements

• Board eligible or board‑certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (BC/BE).
