About the role

The Department of Orthopaedics in The MetroHealth System (MetroHealth) is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in trauma. MetroHealth is a premier academic medical center affiliated with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a major teaching facility for Northeastern Ohio, managing one of the busiest air transport services in the United States.
• Work within the Orthopaedic residency and fellowship programs, integrated with Case Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
• Provide clinical care and contribute to the academic and research environment at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Requirements

• Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma.
• Commitment to an academic career and the pursuit of excellence in clinical care is expected.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible/board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Experience in trauma surgery.
• Experience in academic medicine and teaching.
• Experience in research and clinical trials.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong surgical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Ability to mentor and train residents and fellows.
