What You Will Do
- Interviews, examines, and treats clinical patients to meet their medical needs
- Provides educational materials and resources to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection
- Shares health care duties with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician at all times
- Determines referrals and follows up on patient needs with urgency
- Determines medical treatments and clinical drugs for patients
- Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services
- Documents all services in the patient's medical record
- Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention
- Collaborates with the Medical Director and other professionals on staff for patient care, assessment, and education issues
- Manages mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
- Assists in resolving patient complaints, requests, and inquiries
What You Will Need
- MD degree in Medicine
- Current DEA license and all other required licenses related to the specialty
