What You Will Do

  • Interviews, examines, and treats clinical patients to meet their medical needs
  • Provides educational materials and resources to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection
  • Shares health care duties with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician at all times
  • Determines referrals and follows up on patient needs with urgency
  • Determines medical treatments and clinical drugs for patients
  • Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services
  • Documents all services in the patient's medical record
  • Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director and other professionals on staff for patient care, assessment, and education issues
  • Manages mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
  • Assists in resolving patient complaints, requests, and inquiries

What You Will Need

  • MD degree in Medicine
  • Current DEA license and all other required licenses related to the specialty
