Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years office experience
  • Experience with medical office scheduling and authorization

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patients for clinic-based procedures
  • Congresses patients and performs benefit eligibility verification
  • Completes authorization and pre-certification related to patient procedures
  • Serves as a liaison with insurance companies
  • Relays instructions and preparation details for procedures to patients
  • Covers equipment and medications needed for procedures
  • Acts as a liaison with vendors
  • Ensures appropriate training for procedures
  • Oversees cleaning and maintenance of all equipment
  • Aids in patient procedures
  • Oversees timely billing of procedures
  • Orders and maintains supplies for the department within budget guidelines
  • Oversees clinic-based procedure operations
  • Ensures efficient and effective workflow

$17.63 - $28.20 per hour
