Physician - Obstetrician and Gynecologist

About the role

Provides comprehensive healthcare management including treatment to female patients with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology.

Schedule

PRN - 4 hours a week, willing to work some Saturday clinics.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and conduct medical assessments and clinical exams with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology.
• Perform and/or order appropriate diagnostic tests to diagnose disorders and provide treatment.
• Prescribe appropriate medications.
• Educate patients about disease, disease prevention, and recommend medications or management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Provide antenatal and post-partum medical care during pregnancy and childbirth.
• Maintain a good clinical knowledge base and familiarity with evidence-based practices.
• Follow relevant medical policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Fully licensed as a doctor of medicine to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee.
• Board certified obstetrician-gynecologist.
• Medical license shall have no restrictions; prior action by the medical licensing authority must be disclosed.
• Current Controlled Drug Substance license and DEA license.
