Physician, Nuclear Medicine (Full-Time, Onsite)

Job Description and Practice Information

The position involves providing comprehensive nuclear medicine services, including adult and pediatric imaging, at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital. Responsibilities include:

• Performing full gamut of nuclear medicine procedures
• Leading a comprehensive cancer center with high-volume oncological imaging
• Proficiency in advanced imaging techniques such as PET/CT (including PSMA, DOTATATE PET)
• Offering radiopharmaceutical therapies like Y-90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto
• Conducting cardiac nuclear medicine, SPECT CT, cardiac amyloid scintigraphy, and lymphoscintigraphy
• Participating in specialized tumor boards
• Flexibility in scheduling, including on-site and remote on-call shifts
• Option to specialize in nuclear medicine or radiology coverage
• Access to in-house licensing/credentialing team, 24/7 PACS/IT support

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• ABR Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nuclear Medicine with fellowship or ABNM certification
• Unrestricted California medical license (or eligible)
• Eligible to obtain Radioactive Materials License
• Resident of California
• Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience
• Prior experience in a hospital or inpatient setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
