About the role
We are seeking a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology-PET department.
Responsibilities
- Perform hot lab functions, including handling radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with regulations
- Calibrate dose calibrators and conduct QC procedures on gamma cameras
- Identify patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
- Acquire high-quality images using prescribed technical parameters
- Ensure test accuracy and assist physicians with imaging procedures
- Maintain department cleanliness and adhere to regulatory standards
- Provide courteous assistance to patients, families, and staff
- Complete assigned tasks timely and perform additional departmental duties as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current NJ State license and ARRT and/or NMTCB certification
- BLS certification
Preferred
- PET experience
- Two years hospital technologist experience
Schedule
Day shift, 40 hours/week.
