About the Role
A full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position in the Radiology-PET department, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and image quality.
Responsibilities
- Handle all hot lab functions, including radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal following regulations.
- Calibrate equipment and perform quality control on gamma cameras.
- Identify patients and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort.
- Obtain high-quality images using prescribed techniques.
- Assist nuclear physicians with imaging procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized department environment.
- Complete special assignments and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Provide courteous assistance to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform additional departmental duties as assigned, including non-technical tasks and overtime when needed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, and BLS certification.
Skills
- Preferred: PET experience and at least two years of hospital technologist experience.
- Friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of responding to instruction.
- Strong commitment to maintaining safety standards and supporting team activities.
