About the Role

A full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position in the Radiology-PET department, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and image quality.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all hot lab functions, including radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal following regulations.
  • Calibrate equipment and perform quality control on gamma cameras.
  • Identify patients and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort.
  • Obtain high-quality images using prescribed techniques.
  • Assist nuclear physicians with imaging procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department environment.
  • Complete special assignments and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Provide courteous assistance to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform additional departmental duties as assigned, including non-technical tasks and overtime when needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, and BLS certification.

Skills

  • Preferred: PET experience and at least two years of hospital technologist experience.
  • Friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of responding to instruction.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining safety standards and supporting team activities.
