About the role

SSM Health - Illinois seeks a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to join its established Pulmonary service line of SSM Health - Medical Group. This is an employed position with SSM Health Medical Group located in Mt. Vernon and Centralia, Illinois, where easy access is available to St. Louis, Chicago, Evansville, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, & Memphis.

  • 250,000 population service area covering 9 counties
  • Responsible for working .75 FTE as a Pulmonary physician, doing both pulmonary clinic and pulmonary consults and procedures
  • Responsible for working .25 FTE as a Critical Care physician providing services in a 16-bed Critical Care Unit
  • No call for pulmonology specialty

Pay

  • Guaranteed Base Salary ranging from $525k to $550k (based on experience)
  • Signing payment and quality bonuses available
  • Occurrence-based malpractice insurance
  • Student loan repayment available

Compensation for this role is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, medical specialty, labor market, and other qualifications. The posted pay range for this position is what SSM Health reasonably expects, in good faith, to offer based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This position may also be eligible for incentive pay.

Requirements

  • Completed an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship
  • Board Certified (or eligible) in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Illinois license preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work both in the clinic and the hospital
  • While on clinic weeks, responsible for outpatient clinics, pulmonary consults, pulmonary procedures, and outreach clinics
