Physician Liaison Job

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is seeking a full-time Physician Liaison to join our team in Woodbridge, VA. This role combines sales and public relations to strategically promote our clinics’ services, strengthen our reputation, and grow the patient referral base. The Physician Liaison acts as a brand ambassador, building relationships with local physicians and medical staff to increase referrals and foster positive community perceptions.

About the Role

The Physician Liaison oversees a designated territory of physicians and medical clinics, serving as the bridge between our clinic and referring offices. This role is critical for clinic success, as it involves cultivating relationships with providers, managing feedback, and representing our brand to the community. The Liaison works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive growth and awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to build volume and favorable provider perceptions among internal and external referral streams.
• Develop and implement outreach, relationship-building, and marketing plans to meet goals.
• Exhibit excellent time management, organization, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Analyze referral data, monitor DMR daily, and facilitate marketing campaigns.
• Use templates and programs for tracking and leads management.
• Develop strong business relationships with local community organizations and businesses.
• Collaborate with system functions such as hospital medical affairs, outbound referral systems, provider recruitment, and provider resources.
• Establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring providers and their office staff through visits, emails, and phone calls.
• Use research-based methods to build awareness and trust.
• Identify and target referral sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Business Administration, or Healthcare preferred.
• Recent and direct experience in a communications position within a sales or marketing environment may substitute for education/experience requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License (daily driving is required).
• Willingness to travel within an assigned territory.
• Must provide own vehicle (mileage reimbursement covered).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
