About the Role

The Physician Liaison specializes in developing business plans for UVC Vein Centers within a designated territory, focusing on targeted Physician Referral growth. This field-based position establishes and maintains ongoing communication with physician offices, specialty clinics, hospitals, and other relevant partners, keeping these key collaborators updated throughout the patient lifecycle. The role involves educating contacts using branded materials, tracking leads through CRM, ensuring proper follow-up, and representing the UVC brand professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the referral base to grow designated UVC Vein business.
  • Continuously review, analyze, evaluate, and report on various information and data regarding existing product performance and potential development opportunities.
  • Educate new and existing physician contacts on services offered by UVC.
  • Maintain UVC’s image in the target community as cutting-edge experts on the treatment of vein disease.
  • Oversee efforts to position UVC competitively to protect and grow market share, including routine analysis of competitors' strengths and services.
  • Identify physician referral opportunities within the medical community through research and prospecting.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring providers and/or their office staff via routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls.
  • Provide information and branded messages to physicians on UVC products and services.
  • Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities within hospitals, assisted living facilities (ALFs), and medical associations.
  • Develop strategies to promote provider engagement and collaboration, including new provider orientation, office visits, social events, referral dinners, and continuing education units (CEUs).

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of medical sales experience with 1-2 years of outside B2B experience.
  • Existing relationships with physicians, ACOs, and healthcare facilities.
  • Understanding of vascular diseases and ability to communicate clinical information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Stark Laws.
  • Experience working with a CRM; Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct in all work-related and/or emergent situations.
  • Proven success working independently.
  • Must show proof of (and maintain) minimum personal auto insurance coverage of $100,000 for bodily injury liability per person, $300,000 for bodily injury liability per accident, and $50,000 for property damage liability.
  • Up to 100% travel required; must live near the territory with a 30-minute commute to the home clinic.

Pay

Total compensation ranges from $82,000 to $152,000 USD per year, based on experience. Compensation may include base salary, bonuses, and other incentive pay.
