Physician Hospitalist

About the role

A well-respected, not-for-profit community teaching hospital in coastal Connecticut with 300 beds, affiliated with a nationally recognized medical school, seeks a full-time nocturnist to join its established hospital medicine team. The hospital offers an engaging academic environment where physicians actively participate in resident education.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, consultation, and teaching for internal medicine and family medicine residents.
• Support inpatient medical services throughout the hospital.
• Manage an average of approximately five admissions per physician per night.
• Work collaboratively with two to three other nocturnists on each shift.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine.
• Possess or be eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
• Recent inpatient experience with a stable work history.
• Eligible to start within the next 90–120 days.
• Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
