About the Role
The University of Arizona Cancer Center, Division of Hematology Oncology is actively recruiting for a GI Oncologist with outstanding clinical acumen and knowledge around the multidisciplinary management of GI cancers. The GI Oncology group is a collaborative team committed to offering the best cutting-edge care to patients.
The candidate selected will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials. The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center headquartered in Arizona, dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research, and education.
The Division of Hematology/Oncology within the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson (UA COM-T) is an essential component of the UACC, organized to teach students and house staff, excel at clinical and clinical-translational research, and bring state-of-the-art treatment to patients. The Division has 18 physician faculty and 15 APPs.

Responsibilities
- Provide multidisciplinary management of GI cancers with clinical excellence.
- Participate in writing and developing clinical trial protocols and leading clinical trials (preferred).
- Educate the next generation of oncologists.
Requirements
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
- Experience caring for patients with gastrointestinal cancers within a multidisciplinary oncology setting.
- Exceptionally qualified as a clinical or clinical-translational scientist.
