Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with benign hematologic disorders, hematologic malignancies, and solid tumors.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine and NCCN guidelines.
- Administer and oversee systemic therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and primary care physicians.
- Provide compassionate longitudinal care throughout all phases of the cancer journey.
- Coordinate survivorship care and palliative treatment when appropriate.
- Interpret laboratory studies, pathology reports, molecular testing, and advanced imaging to guide treatment decisions.
- Participate in after-hours call rotation with physician partners.
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
- Foster strong relationships with referring physicians and actively contribute to practice growth.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
- Eligible for unrestricted state medical licensure.
- DEA registration.
