Physician (Geriatrics) - Section Chief

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Physician specialized in Geriatrics to serve as Associate Chief for clinical innovation in GRECC. Responsibilities include providing primary or specialty care for older Veterans, overseeing geriatrics research, education, and clinical innovation programs, and contributing to scholarly work on aging and health.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary or specialty care for older Veterans
• Oversee geriatrics research, education, and clinical innovation programs
• Contribute to scholarly work on aging and health

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or osteopathic degree from an accredited institution
• Unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Completion of accredited residency training
• Board certification in Geriatrics
• Proficiency in English
• Passing pre-employment physical, background check, and meeting physical and security standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research
• Additional board certifications

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with possible shift variations based on facility needs.
