Physician - Gastroenterology
About the role
Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking to expand its gastroenterology services by adding a lead gastroenterologist to its team. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a gastroenterology practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a gastroenterology practice in a supportive team dedicated to high-quality outcomes and a positive patient experience.
- Advocate for patients and deliver personalized care.
- Join a primary care network with approximately 20,000 patients upon integration of Allina Health Northfield primary care clinicians and patients in September 2026.
- Work 2 days per week at the Northfield Clinic and one other clinic location, with support staff dedicated to your practice.
- Perform procedures in the endoscopy center at the Northfield Hospital.
- No call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Completion of a medical degree, accredited residency program, and an accredited gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
- Current and unrestricted Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license.

- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement (PERA pension plan).
Pay
Year 1: $600,000-$650,000 guarantee with an additional $75,000 signing bonus. Pay within the range is determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. This position will enter into a guaranteed minimum + production compensation program after Year 1.
Schedule
2 days of outpatient clinic at our Northfield Clinic and one other clinic location (Lakeville, Farmington, or Faribault), with support staff dedicated to your practice. 2 days of procedures in our endoscopy center at the Northfield Hospital. No call responsibilities.

- 1.0 FTE, 64 clinical contact hours per 2-week pay period.
