Physician - Gastroenterologist (Outpatient/Advanced)
About the role
The Division of Gastroenterology at AtlantiCare is seeking several BE/BC general and advanced endoscopy trained Gastroenterologists to join their growing team and incoming nationally recognized division chief. The new Gastroenterology Division will be aligned with AtlantiCare Vision 2030 and will focus on improving patient outcomes, research, and education.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of faculty, clinicians, and staff
- Expand advanced GI services, including endoscopy, inpatient, and outpatient care
- Serve as a hands-on leader, rounding, consulting, and managing complex GI cases
- Drive strategic growth for the GI service line in collaboration with system leadership and community
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Advanced Endoscopy Training
- Experience in Pancreatobiliary, Motility, and IBD services
- Strong commitment to excellence in advanced endoscopic and routine gastrointestinal care
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay
Competitive compensation with RVU-based incentives, guaranteed during the growth phase. Malpractice insurance with full tail coverage, generous CME allowance, and PTO. Relocation reimbursement is also available.
Schedule
Manageable 6 calls per month supported by hospitalists and Advanced Practice Providers.
