Gastroenterologist (Outpatient)

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
• Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship with board certification or board eligibility
• Self-motivated with a willingness to work as a team to achieve common goals

Job Details

• Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information
• Performs diagnostic procedures (e.g., endoscopies, colonoscopies) at a state-of-the-art endoscopy center to identify gastrointestinal conditions and diseases
• Evaluates patient history and symptoms to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Interprets diagnostic tests and imaging results to inform patient care decisions
• Provides specialized treatments for conditions such as IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcers, and liver disease
• Administers preventive care and screenings, such as cancer screenings and dietary assessments
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
• Edits educational materials for patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and disease management
• Communicates with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
• Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate
