Physician- Gastroenterologist

About the role

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks is seeking an Endo-screening/Gastroenterologist for the Outpatient clinic. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.

Responsibilities

• Routine and non-routine duties such as histories and physicals on admission
• Sufficient progress notes
• Screening patients for endoscopy/colonoscopy procedures
• Performing endoscopy/colonoscopy procedures
• Seeing patients in the Gastroenterology outpatient clinic in collaboration with supervising physician according to the parameters of the scope of practice

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Medical Degree from an approved school
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
• Completion of residency training in a core specialty
• Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology (preferred)

• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to distinguish basic colors

• Ability to perform tasks requiring rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously
