Physician Fellow - Ultrasound Fellowship - Desert Regional Medical Center

About the Role

Seeking highly competitive and motivated candidates with strong interest in bolstering their ultrasound skills. One (1) year ultrasound fellowship, available for the 2026-2027 academic year. Program includes dedicated hours to image acquisition, interpretation, and clinical integration at Riverside Community Hospital, participation in local, regional, national, and international ultrasound courses, and exposure to leadership at all levels.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Graduate of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program required.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Able to obtain a CA state medical license.
• Interest in ultrasound education.

• Desert Regional Medical Center – Palm Springs, California
• 400-bed facility with a 33-bed Emergency Department.
• Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and STEMI Receiving Center.
• Annual volume of 70,000.

Pay

Estimated annual base compensation of $275,000 – $900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Compensation for part-time and per diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. In addition, Vituity physicians participate in our partnership model from day one, which includes profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages. Total compensation including partnership income varies by site and may significantly exceed the range shown.
