Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments and preventive health assessments (PHA).
- Manage medical conditions pertaining to the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), security clearances, overseas clearances, pre-confinement evaluations, line of duty (LOD) investigations, and occupational and fitness for duty medical evaluations.
- Perform ambulatory surgical procedures and outpatient procedures.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures including laboratory and radiological examinations.
- Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required.
- Board certification is required in almost all cases.
- Active, unencumbered medical license is required.
