Physician, Family Medicine, Yorkville

Qualifications

• Experienced Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with current license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois
• Board certified or eligible
• Active DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License

Responsibilities

• The interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, medical personnel, and other members of the health care team in a compassionate and customer-oriented manner.
• Current knowledge of evidence-based standards of medical care for specialty area.
• The ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the pressure of stressful emergency situations.
• The ability to prioritize patient care to support efficient patient flow in in EEH facilities or EEH Medical Group offices.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule and to assist in covering vacancies when necessary.

Requirements

• License: Illinois Medical License or License Pending
• Certification: The successful candidate for this position will have completed a Family Medicine residency and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine.

What You Will Do

• Development of clinical practice.
• A minimum of 34 bookable hours per week and 20 extended hours per month, which are a subset of the 34 bookable hours, to include morning/evening/weekend hours.
• Participation in weekend and weekday call.
• Teaching of the house staff and medical students as assigned.
