About the role

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join their dynamic team in Jackson, CA.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sacramento and Davis Faculty
• Passion for teaching, curriculum involvement, and faculty development
• Inpatient experience is a plus
• OB optional, but welcomed
• Rural, full-scope Family Medicine with high complexity
• Diverse patient population with significant medical and social challenges
• Requires dedication, follow-through, and commitment to continuity

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine - Required
• Must be qualified and appropriately credentialed physicians capable of providing clinical care and resident education.
• Must maintain active clinical skills and provide direct patient care to model appropriate practice for residents.
• Must be able to teach, supervise, and evaluate residents using ACGME competency-based assessment frameworks.
• Must participate in curriculum development, resident assessment, and program evaluation, contributing to continuous program improvement.
• Must want to do a variety of procedures - Preferred

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
• Must have completed a Family Medicine residency program.
• Must be eligible for and obtain appropriate medical licensure in California.
• Must have a valid California Medical License.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $311,000.00 - USD $373,200.00 /Yr.

Schedule

0.5-0.7 FTE Faculty/Teaching + 0.3–0.5 FTE Clinical (flexible and negotiable)
