Physician - Family Medicine
About the role
The Sanford Clinic Aberdeen is seeking a BE/BC Family Practice Physician. The position offers a traditional outpatient clinic schedule with pediatric inpatient call opportunities, emergency department with board-certified physicians, dedicated obstetric/gynecological (OBGYN) services, behavioral health, care management, and diabetes education. It includes nursing home rounding and access to a wide range of ancillary services such as anesthesiology, surgery, diagnostic testing, and therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients across the lifespan
- Participate in inpatient hospitalist shifts if interested
- Provide care in the emergency department with board-certified physicians
- Offer specialized OBGYN services
- Conduct behavioral health, care management, and diabetes education sessions
- Perform nursing home rounding in the community
- Access a comprehensive array of ancillary services including anesthesiology, surgery, diagnostic testing, and therapy services
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine
- Current Medical License in South Dakota
- Experience in family medicine preferred
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Family Medicine
- Passing scores on the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams
