Physician - Employer Health Centers

Job Summary

Sought is a Family Medicine Physician to manage and provide medical care to patients as per licensure and defined standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with patients, explain procedures, and address questions/concerns.
• Obtain health histories and perform examinations.
• Diagnose and counsel patients on treatment plans.
• Prescribe medication according to Indiana statute and guidelines.
• Perform procedures as per credentialing.
• Arrange referrals for patients needing services outside specialty area.
• Review In-Basket daily and address urgent patient information.
• Ensure continuity of care during anticipated absences.
• Comply with Riverview Health medical staff bylaws and policies.
• Support quality care, performance improvement, and patient safety activities.
• Achieve performance and quality metrics.
• Ensure professional patient interactions.
• Complete and sign off on patient visit notes within defined timeframes.

Medical Directorship Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and management for Employer Health Centers.
• Direct medical services at Sapphire Health Plan.
• Supervise, manage, and oversee Employer Health Centers to meet professional standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Facilitate efficient operations and meet patient and employee needs.
• Design and deliver education and training programs.
• Maintain high quality professional standards.
• Prepare annual Employer Health Centers planning documents.
• Recommend necessary equipment and supplies.

Education Requirements

• Graduate from a medical school recognized by the Medical Licensing Board.
• Possess a minimum of 5+ years of Family Medicine experience.
• Preferred: PHD or better in Medicine.
• Required: Physician license valid in Indiana.
• Controlled Substance Registry license and DEA license.
