Inaugural Program Director for a brand-new Emergency Medicine Residency Program
Build and lead the program from the ground up, including ACGME accreditation
High-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department (70,000+ visits annually)
Nearly 4,000 trauma cases per year with transition to Level II Trauma Center

Clinical Environment
Provide clinical care in a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department serving a tri-state region:
Emergency Department & Trauma Services
Over 70,000 ED visits per year
High volume of trauma, critical care, and acute medical cases
Broad pathology with strong pediatric and geriatric populations
Transitioning to Level II Trauma Center with growing trauma program
Clinical Responsibilities
Maintain active clinical practice in the Emergency Department
Supervise residents and students in real-time clinical settings
Collaborate closely with trauma, critical care, hospitalist, and surgical teams
Academic & Faculty Role
Lead the development and growth of a new Emergency Medicine residency program:
Design and submit ACGME accreditation application
Develop full curriculum, evaluation systems, and rotation schedules
Recruit, mentor, and develop core faculty and residents
Build scholarly activity, quality improvement, and research opportunities
Integrate with the new Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (launching Summer 2025)
Serve as a key leader in the expanding Graduate Medical Education enterprise
Promote innovation in emergency care education and community-focused training

Schedule
Balanced mix of clinical shifts, administrative/program leadership time, and protected academic time
Dedicated time allocated for program development, faculty recruitment, and teaching
