About the role
A low-acuity patient population with mostly chronic disease and minor presentations.
Averages 24 – 25 patients per day with approximately 700 – 800 visits per month.
Sleep room available for overnight shifts.
Single-provider coverage model with an established and stable emergency medicine team.
Board-certified physician required; Emergency Medicine residency not required with ED experience.
Responsibilities
- Developing a relationship with the patient and their families.
- Treating a low-acuity patient population with mostly chronic disease and minor presentations.
- Averaging 24 – 25 patients per day with approximately 700 – 800 visits per month.
- Utilizing a sleep room for overnight shifts.
- Working within a single-provider coverage model with an established and stable emergency medicine team.
- Practicing family medicine with a focus on treating a low-acuity patient population.
Requirements
- Board-certified physician.
- No requirement for Emergency Medicine residency if there is ED experience.
- Experience in treating a low-acuity patient population with mostly chronic disease and minor presentations.
- Ability to manage a workload averaging 24 – 25 patients per day with approximately 700 – 800 visits per month.
- Knowledge of utilizing a sleep room for overnight shifts.
- Experience working within a single-provider coverage model with an established and stable emergency medicine team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage a busy schedule with multiple shift options.
- Experience in treating a low-acuity patient population with mostly chronic disease and minor presentations.
- Flexible scheduling: three 12-hour shifts, two 24-hour shifts, or a combination per week.
- Sleep room available for overnight shifts.
