Physician Emergency Medicine

About the role

A new freestanding emergency department is opening in a city with a population over 100,000. The department operates on 12-hour shifts: 7 am – 7 pm and 7 pm – 7 am. It has lower estimated annual patient volume with assistance from advanced practice providers (APPs).

Responsibilities

• Manage a mix of day and night shifts, totaling 10 or more shifts per month.
• Work independently as an emergency medicine physician or internal medicine/family medicine physician with 2+ years of experience in emergency medicine.
• Provide care in a setting with on-site radiology, CT, and ultrasound capabilities.

Requirements

• Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with 2+ years of experience.
• Must be board certified or board eligible.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
• Experience working in an emergency department setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule.
• Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
