Physician - Critical Care Anesthesiologist
About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking BC/BE Critical Care Anesthesiologists to join our team of 4 Critical Care Anesthesiologists. Preference is given to dual BC/BE in Anesthesiology, but all training backgrounds will be considered. The position includes approximately 25% of clinical time practicing Critical Care Medicine with the balance as a mixed operative practice.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the Ochsner Surgical ICU, which employs an interprofessional care model covering 34 beds with a mix of cardiovascular surgical disciplines including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Mechanical Circulatory Support (ECMO, LVAD, IABP, etc.) & Vascular Surgery.
- Care for one of the highest acuity and most complex patient cohorts in the nation, as evidenced by our top-10 surgical case mix index in 2020.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in academics and research. They must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology and have completed a fellowship in Critical Care Anesthesiology.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $350,000 - $450,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
