Physician - Critical Care Anesthesiologists

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthetics and analgesics for pain management prior to, or after surgery, for critical care patients.
• Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral.
• Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients, and patients’ family concerning treatment and care of patients.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Licensure to practice medicine in Louisiana.
• Completion of an anesthesiology residency.
• Completion of a critical care anesthesiology fellowship.
