About the role

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research. Part-time (12-20 hours/week) contract position available for Florida Licensed Physician (MD/DO) at Operation PAR’s Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) programs in Inverness and/or Spring Hill, Florida. MAPS provides quality outpatient opioid maintenance therapy to individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.

General job description

Clinical leader of a multidisciplinary team comprised of APRNs, nurses, consultant pharmacist, counselors and therapists. Responsible for provision and coordination of care to MAPS patients. Conducts new patient admissions, manages inductions and ongoing problem cases, and conducts annual reviews. Conducts weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meeting to discuss individual patient treatment issues (positive drug screens, medication dosage adjustments, medical/mental health concerns, etc.). Supervises APRNs under protocol.

Requirements

  • Florida Medical License in good standing
  • Current DEA license
  • Addiction and/or mental health experience preferred
  • Able to use Electronic Medical Record
  • Computer proficiency (able to accurately type with reasonable speed)
  • Must pass level II background(https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screen
  • Medicaid Provider number preferred

Essential physical/technical skills

  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers

  • Able to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Able to bend, stoop and reach
  • Able to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Able to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to lift and carry 10 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision

Environmental conditions

Treatment program / hospital environment
Exposure to individuals who may be experiencing emotional distress or agitation
Possible exposure to clients with communicable diseases
