Physician Cardiologist Per Diem - Call Coverage

Under terms of contract, provides medical services within the scope of licensing, training, credentialing and current standards of care and quality. Exeter Hospital is a 100‑bed community hospital that supports general and interventional cardiology. We are looking for a per diem general cardiologist to assist with evening and weekend call.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited medical college/university with Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible general cardiologist (potentially fourth‑year interventional fellows or fifth‑year structural fellows who are general cardiology board‑eligible)
• Successful completion of internship, residency and, if applicable, fellowship
• Unrestricted license to practice within New Hampshire
• Current DEA certificate without restriction
• CPR with AED certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patient served
• Provide safe, effective, patient‑centered care
• Perform inpatient consultation and rounding
• Respond to communications from referring providers and patients, including appropriate documentation of the conversation
• Interpret echocardiograms; proctor and interpret maximal treadmill tests, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear stress tests
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Pay

Pay range: $243.74 – $365.58 per hour (base hourly wage range the organization reasonably expects to pay for this position at this time). Actual compensation may be determined based on education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
