Physician - Cardiologist - IV - per diem

About the role

The Cardiac Interventionalist will be part of an established Cardiovascular practice within Oregon Heart and Vascular Institute at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart RiverBend Hospital in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon. This position focuses on TAVR and Coronary interventions, with a special emphasis on developing a Critical Limb Ischemia program.

Responsibilities

• Perform TAVR and Coronary interventions, including LAAO and TEER procedures (if available).
• Develop and lead a Critical Limb Ischemia program.
• Collaborate with other physicians and advanced practice clinicians to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care.
• Participate in the streamlined Rapid Access Clinic, ensuring timely patient access and efficient catheterization lab operations.
• Contribute to the ongoing success of the Structural Heart program, which includes TAVR, MitraClip, Tri-Clip, left atrial appendage occlusion, and cryo-ablation/Pulsed Field Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation.

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in Interventional and Structural Cardiology.
• Strong background in coronary interventional skills.
• A demonstrated ability to develop and manage a Critical Limb Ischemia program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Current license to practice medicine in Oregon.
• Experience in performing TAVR, Coronary interventions, and related procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
