About the role

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is seeking a full-time Surgical Float (days/nights), Physician Associate (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join their care team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a variety of clinical settings
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a physician
  • Assist in surgical procedures as directed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in a trauma setting or equivalent is desired

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure. A Master's Degree is preferred, and experience in a trauma setting is desired.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in medical terminology and procedures are essential.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule
