About the role
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland is seeking a per-diem Physician Associate (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to provide advanced practice provider services on the hospital medicine ward and in the emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, care managers, and ancillary services
- Participate in quality initiative programs within the department of hospital medicine
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Associate or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively triage, organize, and prioritize tasks
- Ability to function as part of a team and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Full-time or part-time role at MaineHealth: 120% of current hourly rate, eligible for shift differentials
- Per diem role at MaineHealth: $80.00 per hour, eligible for shift differentials
