Physician Assistant-Shoulder

Iowa Orthopedic Center is seeking a Physician Assistant for our busy Shoulder practice. This role will serve as the initial contact for new shoulder patients, assess post-operative and returning patients, and collaborate with the care team to deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary or specialty medical care under physician supervision
• Collect data required for diagnosis and perform authorized procedures
• Perform initial patient screenings, obtain and evaluate medical histories, and conduct physical examinations
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Counsel patients on medical problems, medication use, treatment effects, and health maintenance
• Document entries in patients’ permanent medical records
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members
• Monitor the effectiveness of care

On Call: No call required

Requirements

• A master’s degree and certification by a Physician Assistant certifying body
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant
• Active DEA license with no restrictions
