Responsibilities
- Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
- Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, and service offerings, tailoring documentation to expected readers/users.
- Uses correct terminology and conforms to required style and format.
- Provides compassionate patient and family care, implementing and monitoring a plan of care based on patient responses.
- Establishes rapport with clients, adapting communication style to meet patient needs and recognizing age-specific responses to treatment.
- Provides effective interventions while respecting patient confidentiality and privacy, and supporting social, spiritual, and cultural needs.
- Manages difficult or emotional patient situations.
- Develops, modifies, and evaluates expected outcomes for continuity of care, involving the patient, family, and other disciplines.
- Demonstrates technical skill in using and maintaining equipment appropriate for the role, troubleshooting problems, and adapting to new technology.
- Adheres to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the organization’s core values, mission, and vision.
- Completes other duties as required, including mandatory in-services, competency evaluations, and staff meetings.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility through self-education and ongoing training.
- Demonstrates competency in providing care to patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- 1 year of clinical work experience (Required). Phoebe Putney Health System clinical rotation and/or medical assistant internship experience will be considered in lieu of actual work experience.

Licenses and certifications as required for the role.
