Physician Assistant, PA - Per Diem Hospitalist and ICU

Qualifications

• Two years Physician Assistant experience in an ICU setting is required.
• A minimum of two years nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred.
• Completion of a Physician Assistant program required.
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants).
• BLS certification required.
• Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without restriction.
• Prescriptive Authority and Collaborative Agreement with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (CRNPs) OR Written Agreement with the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine/Osteopathic Medicine (PA-Cs).
• Registration with the DEA to prescribe, without restriction or limitation.
• Current ACLS certification Required.
• Completion of the MLH and MLHC credentialing processes resulting in temporary or permanent privileges issued and successful payor enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents.
• Enhance the continuity of quality patient care.
• Amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team.
• Extend the capabilities of the medical care team.

Requirements

• Travel between all MLH Hospitals.
• Provide per diem coverage in our Hospitalist Medicine and ICU departments.

Skills

• Independent judgment and decision-making.
• Consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team.

Pay

$80.00 - $80.00

Schedule

Per Diem - minimum 2 shifts/month covering mainly swing and night shifts
