About the role
This role offers a minimum 9-month specialty rotation focused on developing advanced clinical skills in Urgent Care Medicine. The fellow will receive one-on-one preceptorship, hands-on patient care experience, and participate in didactic lectures to build proficiency in managing acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions across all ages.
Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
- Order tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists
- Provide occupational medicine services such as DOT exams
- Perform physicals for camps and employment
- Accurately document patient information in EMR
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited PA or FNP program
- Active board certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC)
- State licensure as a PA or FNP
- Strong clinical competence, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency and commitment to continuous learning
